May: Builders' Festival at Ornavik

The Builders' Festival is coming to Ornavik
from May 8 to 10, 2025!

 

For three days, young and old alike are invited to discover the ancestral craftsmanship of the artisans working at Ornavik. More than just a discovery, it’s a truly immersive experience that awaits you: get hands-on and contribute to building the park, just as our Norman ancestors once did.

Step by step, through various workshops and activities, our weavers, carpenters, and stonemasons will guide you in making wattle and daub, thatched roofs, basketry, embroidery, and even the bricks that will be used in the park’s future church.

You will also be able to explore the ongoing shipyard at the Viking trading post, learn traditional boatbuilding techniques, and try your hand at maritime knots.

What is RolloN?
